Excellent School Show with Super Performances (see gallery for photos)
We had an absolutely packed school hall tonight for our annual school show which this year was "Nursery Rhymes", sung and performed by P1-3 followed by "A Grimm Night for Hans Christian Andersen" performed by the after school Drama Club which as usual involves every pupil in P4-7. Along with parents and grandparents, all school staff came along to help including our current supply teacher and the lady who serves the school lunches. We were also very pleased to welcome two other visitors in the audience - Miss Hogg, last year's P1-4 teacher, and Gill Doogan, the school's new Quality Improvement Officer.
Two absolutely fantastic performances were very much appreciated by the audience, who laughed a lot and had a great time. Everyone was impressed by the confidence and performance skills of our children who all left with huge smiles, feeling very proud of themselves.
As usual parents and friends of the school were extremely generous in coming along to the show and in buying raffle tickets. After taking out expenses for costumes (which weren't much because they mainly came from charity shops and car boot sales) we raised an amazing £275.
