School Clubs begin well
Two new after-school clubs started tonight with a high uptake for both.
P1-3 had the first night of the "Run Jump Throw" club where they learned about PB's (personal best scores) and how the important thing is to focus on improving your own skills, not beating other people. They were all given PB booklets to track their progress and improvement.
All the children showed great enthusiasm and ran and jumped very well.
For P4-7 pupils Miss Halkett led the Coding Club which was very popular. All the older children who attended left at 4.15 buzzing with what they had been up to using coding to either follow projects or create their own computer games.
PLEASE LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE IF YOUR CHILD HAS SIGNED UP FOR A CLUB BUT IS NOT ABLE TO ATTEND ON A PARTICULAR DAY. If you don't let us know and we find children not present at the club at 3.15 it makes things very difficult for us. We have lots of children waiting to start their clubs but we are stuck phoning to make sure parents know where the missing children are.
WE WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE THIS. THANK YOU.
